>Three of the main set pieces are only used for that episode: The steep slope, the skyscraper, and the hydroelectric dam.
The dam also made an appearance in "It's About Time." Applejack was filling in cracks in the cement with a trowel while Rarity sat beside her and cleaned Applejack as she worked. It is a memorable scene for being one of several suspiciously shippy moments bewteen the pair in the early seasons. One might also say of the construction site, that the building never got finished doe to the nearly catastrophic accident. A more flagrant technological ass-pull, I think, was the arcade cabinet in "Hearts and Hooves Day." The existence of the hospital in "Read It and Weep" was a borderline continuity error given the improvized MASH unit that had treated the victims of the "baked bads" in "Applebuck Season.
I don't know if it counts as a proper continuity error, but one thing that always got me was the origin of Apple Bloom. In "Cutie manrk Chronicles" Applejack leaves the orchard to stay with her auntie and uncle in Bel-Air, but neither Apple Bloom nor her parents are present when Applejack leaves. So, either Apple Bloom's parents were still alive when Applejack left and just did not see her off or welcome her back when she returned for that matter, or they were already dead. If they were dead, though, where was Apple Bloom? You don't leave an infant alone in the barn. It is possible that possible that Apple Bloom's parents were alive at the time, and Apple Bloom herself had just not been born yet, but in that case, whey would they not see their other daughter off or welcome her back home?
