I'm gonna try and post at least once every couple days in here to try and re-fulfill OP's goal, kinda treat as one of the /p/ - Random threads from the board.
I've been reading Background Pony a lot lately. I remember starting numerous times with the first couple chapters, but the super lengthy prose and my general forgetfulness had stopped me from getting too far.
However, now that I have the physical versions (purchased at a recent convention), I'm much more apt to read further, and also because I don't have anything better to do in the late hours of the night.
And man... I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love pony fanfiction. It is enthralling, and, although not perfect, completely captures my attention. I never want to stop reading it, but if I don't at least take a day's break inbetween, I'll never be able to digest it properly.
And that's part of the problem, being ABLE to digest it properly. I need to slow down and take it in, rather than trying to ravenously dig through it, like you may be able to more with a comic or something. And actually... reflect on the chapters and what they are saying or mean. They really are a lovely thing, each of them, but no less exhilarating and thought-provoking.
I guess I could be kind of sad that I haven't read it sooner, but I feel like I might be in a place in my life that it's good to be reading them now.
This one goes out to Background Basset for their journey and art for the fic. And to Rebane, thanks for convincing me to read it finally.
