I wonder if like the weather, flowers needs flower ponies to give them direction on what to be? If the specifics of the flower depends just as much on the pony managing them as it does the flower type itself? Also reminds me of a time I went on vacation a few years ago. Headed north, out of state during the summer. There were a number of businesses/locations that looked normal from a distance, but when you got close enough you realized that the grass was actually all dead and they just spray painted what remained green. I think it's part of the broader fact that they are earth ponies and have an affinity for all living things and the land. Their effect on the land and living things is as powerful as the effect of pegasai on weather or of unicorns on magic. Also, here's a Roseluck riding a bear.
