Find people you trust to make towns with and use in game signs for private messages. No group chats. Please refrain from posting the IP off of NHNB, I'm sure a troll in a group chat from 4chan will find it at some point. We will have plenty of time time to collect ourselves and make a safe town far from spawn that they don't know the coordinates of before then. Because it's an old version you should create a seperate directory for it to run in. To do that go to %appdata% and make a copy of .minecraft; That's it. You have a separate directory, which you can select to go with the version in the launcher. It will save you a lot of hassle to do this. Others things to expect are vast interconnected cave systems, and for the land to all be continents in a large ocean that grow further apart far from spawn. Have fun!

I got the server because it was pretty cheap for a whole year and I have always wanted to host one so I'm open to it going different directions. If anyone is actually interested in playing it will be fun to watch how things develop. It's a little late now but I'll figgure out how to make it whitelist only tommorow it's getting late. Sorry for being wishy washy feels stupid having the thread description as it is, but I'll take your suggestions. Griefing is now banned lol.

>>16076 If you are using windows you go to the search bar in the bottom left and type %appdata% and press enter. Do not click anything that automatically fills in because it won't work. That is the file folder on your computer that .minecraft is stored in. All you have to do is select .minecraft and copy it. Deselect it and paste it so that there is .minecraft and .minecraft(copy) in the same folder. After this create an installation in the Minecraft launcher for 1.6.2 and select .minecraft(copy) as the directory. You could just make a 1.6.2 installation without changing the directory but switching between old and new versions in the same directory can cause a glitch where old versions don't launch. Once you have Minecraft 1.6.2 working you would need to post your username here so I can whitelist you, allowing you to connect with the IP. This is what you copy paste into IP: 45.92.39.39:25602

Making a town down the river from spawn. Bonus points if you can make it the whole way with one boat; I was able to but it's tricky. To the other anon that connected if you want to advertise on /MLP/ go ahead, I don't ever post or check there so you would know about that more than me. If I don't see any activity I'm going to take down the whitelist and start posting the server on Craigslist to see what kind of freaks join.
