Such a thing is impossible to know how far one would need to, or even be willing to put their own life as an afterthought compared to the one they're trying to raise. Probably the most important question to see if you'd do well is are you willing to loose your autonomy for potentially decades? Giving up your own life for one you'd put your everything in. I doubt anyone can truly be ready for such a shift in their way of being.
