Whats an opinion, fact or statement about the My Little Pony brand, show or fandom that would get you this kind of reaction from everyone else?
(325.49 KB 586x736 example.png)
>>26846 Why have you been posting these threads for so long? You do it in bursts too, as if every time you take a vacation you decide to fire up the old shitposting machine
>>26846 I'm having a hard time coming up with one, that doesn't have a large part of /mlp/ agreeing with it.
>>26846 Apple bloom is AJs kid
(384.36 KB 699x842 example2.png)
>>26846 >>26846 There are no good songs in the show. They’re all obnoxious and have wildly unmemorable lyrics. Compare it to most of Disney pre 2010s, Prince of Egypt, Ferngully, Don Bluth movies which can vary in quality but their musical segments always deliver.
>>26867 Applebloom looks even more like Pear Butter than AJ does, though. Clearly, Applejack is AB's daughter.
>>26893 What makes lyrics unmemorable? What makes them obnoxious? There's no way to measure that in a way everyone agrees with. I will agree that some of the songs aren't great ("A True True Friend"s chorus and bridge are so phoned in that it really brings the whole thing down imo), but they definitely make an effort most of the time. "Smile" fucking rules.
(35.15 KB 1508x1000 poseywindyoldfriends.png)
I like Parental Glideance (the Rainbow Dash's parents episode) better than Perfect Pear (the Applejack's parents episode.) The episode with Fluttershy's parents really sucked too, cause it's all about Zephyr. It would have been nice if we got a good episode featuring Posey. >>26853 he's trying to get raped

(2.38 MB 1920x1080 1027317.png)
>>26846 My little Pony: Friendship is Magic, as a whole, really isn't all that great; there's easily more boring (not in a comfy way)/outright bad episodes than good. I imagine if I went out of my way on rewatch to markdown all the episodes I enjoyed, and wanted to watch again at some point, I'd end up with less than 75 or so episodes.
>>26903 Apple Bloom looks more like Pear Butter because both of her parents are Pear Butter's kids. It's a result of inbreeding.
(30.92 KB 500x659 1490047887884.jpg)
>>26922 You Pearfags literally only have two images that you spam whenever you see the opportunity... How exactly do you expect me to believe that Pears are better than Apples, when they are so numerically disadvantaged?
>>26846 I think satyrs are actually pretty cute. Shame about the porn obsessed weirdos who coopted the concept

>>26846 FiM is an amazing show and I love cute pastel ponies, I don't give a shit about fitting in with what the retarded fanbase thinks.
>>27014 That isn't controversial. That's simply highly based.
>>26846 The episode that I like is better than the episode that you like.
>>26922 TRVKE

The finale was good
>>27014 The high test take
>>27084 She looks like she fucks human men.
>>26846 I liked MMC a lot because it was fun seeing the M6 all distressed and out of their element (pun not intended). >>26913 Windy is the hottest of the Mom 6 by far, but the episode is only good if your parents were either absent/neglectful (Scootaloo type) or overbearing (Rainbow Dash type).
(450.35 KB 648x756 ab geekin out.png)
I like the CMC episodes.
(179.63 KB 808x1010 sweetiepeek.jpg)
>>27334 Do people not like them? I always looked forward to them, and there were only a couple I didn't think were great.
>>27334 I feel like that's one of those opinions that used to be unpopular but stopped being the case.
>>27339 >be 15 >'ugh gay-ass kid episode for kids, that's nothing like me at all' >be 30 >'lol kids really are like that' Figures.
(369.30 KB 692x1376 vgcats.jpg)
>>27336 Back in season 1 they did two CMC episodes in a row, so a lot of people disliked them (see picrel, it's from april 2011). We just wanted more Mane 6 episodes and we didn't like the CMC yet, so those episodes seemed bad and the 3 week wait for a new one was rough. Everyone quickly learned to like them after that.
(1.30 MB 632x466 sweetiechew2.gif)
>>27363 That's crazy to think about because I wasn't too fond of the first episode with them, but by Stare Master, I was really liking Apple Bloom (I'm an applefag, go figure) and thought Sweetie's voice was really funny. Still watching the show so I still get excited when the next episode is a CMC-related one
>>27363 To be fair, The Show Stoppers was the height of cringe, probably the worst episode up to that point. If I was getting nonstop S1 kino week after week only to get 22 minutes of cringe comedy, I'd be upset, too.
(513.20 KB 779x598 aj in the window 1.png)
>>27381 >rating the best CMC episode up to that point lower than the likes of Swarm of the Century
>>27384 You think Show Stoppers is better than Stare Master? I can't relate to that. Stare Master is one of my favorite episodes of the season.
>>27387 Stare Master is great, but it's much more a Flutters episode than a CMC episode. Sure, they're present, but the three of them get mashed together into a one-dimensional foil to Fluttershy. Show Stoppers is the first episode to give Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo some individual characterization. I'd say Stare Master is a better episode for understanding Fluttershy, but Show Stoppers is a better episode for understanding the kids. On the whole, though, they're both fun to watch.

If you're out of shape you don't deserve your waifu.
>>27391 If you're out of shape, your waifu will love and support you through every step of the journey to fixing that, because you both know that you'll be happier that way. She wants you to be your best self, just like you do. She isn't a reward to be earned, she's part of the process of earning the reward.
rage-inducing argument thread
>>27390 >but Show Stoppers is a better episode for understanding the kids I'll definitely give you that, it's the episode that really establishes who they are and I appreciate it for that, I'm just bad with characters publicly embarrassing themselves.
>>27193 Agreed.
(680.89 KB 6698x5629 1709732.png)
>this shitty thread made on NHNB >actual discussion of unpopular FiM opinions instead of nonstop bait and schizophrenia
>>27509 All threads can be good threads if you want them to be.
>>27377 It's a very different experience when you're watching weekly. We were riding the hype wave with banger after banger episode, the last one being Sonic fucking Rainboom, when suddenly we got a CMC episode that made them look kind of annoying. Then we waited another week only to get another one of their episodes, which was better but still not nearly as good as the Mane 6 stuff. I love the CMC now but I didn't right away. Same thing happened with Rarity, who seemed like an annoying fashion obsessed girls' cartoon diva until Suited For Success came out.
>>27509 what's wrong with bait and schizo posting?
(1.51 MB 2548x1623 72090.png)
>>27381 I really liked the epicness/goofiness of the CMC song so fuck you.
>>27643 Reeks of nu /mlp/ and barbieniggatry.
The Point of No Return (A season 9 episode) is a good episode, its the most season 1-like episode throughout the haberverse. It stuck out by having pretty much very little of what made that so bad, a simple story (returning a book), is a spike twilight episode, and more. Just because a season is terrible doesn't mean there aren't a few good ones in there.
(471.22 KB 2500x1900 3606.jpg)
>>27363 upon watching the show for the first time, this is exactly how I felt. why the fuck are you making me watch these three tykes? give me the girls back! but then yes, I learned to love them.
Cozy Glow didn't deserve what happened to her and should have been taken in by either twilight or luna as their student.
>>27817 Cozy Glow, Glimmer, and Trixie becoming the pupils of Luna would have been great. They become good, but retain the essence of their manipulative talents and trickery. They eventually become masters of statecraft in the service of Equestria. That's kinda how I see. Anyway, there are so many possibilities with this that it is painful that nothing like it got explored.
(233.05 KB 849x941 1736644395904554.png)
>>26846 I don't care about "established" fandom personalities/backstories for background ponies and usually invent my own for them.
>>27824 Any good ones you've made up?
>Only safe opinions ITT
Tamers' videos are objectively terrible on every single level.
>>27906 twilight's mom is so hot (this isn't a controversial statement I just wanna touch her butt)
Bronies are a subset of furry.
>>27950 About as legitimate as claiming that all Pokemon fans are subset of furry. However, I won't deny that the association is quite high.
>>27954 Pokemon are animals, just because one looks like a piece of a silverware or a cosmic math equation doesnt change that. They too are a subset of furry like horsefuckers/bronies are.
>>27950 And there it is. The "topic" that these threads thinly veil every time. Would eat my hat if these posts aren't OP samefagging.
>>27950 I'll contribute the "cultural christian" angle to this: There's a very important utility in the denial of furrydom. If /mlp/ was permanently redirected to a furry site just about every nor/mlp/person who is not also into furry shit would not enjoy what they see. The cultural tradition is just too different, even disregarding the fact that we're only interested in one IP. The loudest and most popular communities of furries are unbearably faggy and unfocused, "And I shouldn't like to inquire too closely into the case of the tenth" If the /mlp/sphere is furry then it's some very insular and unorthodox corner of furrydom You can call it self-identity bullshit if you like but I will never consider myself a furry, and it is in both of our best interests if most anons share my stance, or at least leave their furry baggage at the door
>>27964 You are a responding to a schizo who pulls this shit in the numerous unpopular opinion threads that got spammed on /mlp/ >>26853 >>26871 Don't bother.
>>27966 Talking to a lot of random people at ponycons over the years I've met enough open furries to know that most who are in the know have a seething disdain for horsefuckers because we exclude them. I have a theory that the guy who's been making threads calling everyone who likes anatomically correct a zoophilic furfag this past year is one of these people who hopes that he'll eventually get us to finally "admit" that we're all furries like him. It wouldn't be surprising if the faggot who's been making the unpopular opinion threads has also been posting these few particular opinions himself if nobody else has posted them after long enough, as you think.
>>27959 >Play Pokemon Red 30 years ago >Suddenly want to wear Gardevoir fursuit and fucks everything that moves Very convincing argument. Not to mention female poketrainer is a thing in the games even if you want to cover only NSFW part of the fandom.
(1019.42 KB 4096x2761 2309223.jpg)
>>27983 >I have a theory that the guy who's been making threads calling everyone who likes anatomically correct a zoophilic furfag this past year is one of these people who hopes that he'll eventually get us to finally "admit" that we're all furries like him. Not a terrible theory; furfags are a spiteful bunch, so I wouldn't put it past one of them to be doing it, could be an EQG freak instead, although I doubt it.
>>27381 The Show Stoppers is amazing. People keep missing the point of the episode which is embarrassing.
i hate clop and all cloppers
>>28657 I've been souring on clop myself. It feels like people only like ponies for porn at this point.
>>28752 So you don't jerk off right? You're definitely not whacking it to 3D or furry porn right?
>>28753 No, I don't. Calm down and stop jumping to conclusions.
(867.06 KB 1000x1000 65047.png)
>>28752 My Little Pony is on the same level of Lord of The Rings to me, it matters way beyond clopping, and has a lot more going for it than even most fans seem to think; if Hasbroke just put more effort (money) into the ip, it could have become something way bigger.
>>28763 nta but I don't see how that invalidates a chaste appreciation for mlp
>>28763 Good thing this is /fim/ and not /clop/ then!
>>28657 samefag here report: i am now slightly interested in clop
>>26846 prob me when i try to talk about mlp in a place that everyone hates bronies and mlp
>>28803 why would you talk about it there then, sillyhead?
>>26846 Mares > Jews
(315.35 KB 1074x1417 8189.jpg)
>>26846 Every single time the show tried to go deeper into dragon lore was a mistake, and only made them worse. MLP Dragon lore is on the same level of canon to me that the talking cows of season 1 are.
(565.22 KB 945x831 722080.png)
>>26846 Another take I have, is that just having fantasy human/human like (dwarves, Elves, etc.) civilizations in the show would have been far better than the creaturequestria shit we got, even in some of the earlier episodes too. More pony types and stories with them would probably have been the way to go though, i.e. Batponies, Kirin, etc.
>>28811 dwarves would've been cool antagonists if they enslaved and rode ponies because they're the perfect size for dwarves.
>>28811 >Elves, dwarves, brownies, etc. Cool idea to be honest. I like it. >>28814 WTF? I hate dwarves now!
>>28814 If Dwarves had pony slaves they'd probably mostly use them for pulling carts, as well as having them operate mills; Ponies are about 3.5,(bit bigger in my head canon but still) so using them for transport wouldn't work that well unless you had multiple of them pulling a wagon or something of that nature. >>28815 >Brownies Haven't heard about those creatures in awhile; I think the last time I'd heard about those was from a horror game that had all different types of them, and you had to help callers (or messagers I don't remember) figure out what anomaly they had going on in their homes was.
>>26846 >>28810 Posting this from another thread >he should have gone on all fours and gotten wings by season 4, the whole anthro dragon past baby stage crap was a major mistake (and so was making dragons so common, they should have been way rarer). Is this a bad take? I think Spike should have ended up more like Spyro.
>>26846 4chan won't work for me so I'll post my thought here. OP asks "what's the safest pony image you've gotten off to?" - I don't get it. If you have an imagination - and everybody does - you're not getting off to the image, you're getting off to what your imagination does with the image. You can use imagination to transform an image of a rock into a winking pony pussy, so this kind of 'safest image' competition is meaningless. The safest image is no image at all, and that's easy as fuck.
>>28829 >If you have an imagination - and everybody does - you're not getting off to the image, you're getting off to what your imagination does with the image. I think there are a lot of guys who need a picture or video because they really can't visualize much, or they don't think to even try. This has confused me for a while as well since I have a vivid imagination and usually prefer it for fapping over looking at porn.
>>26846 Adding chest tits and replacing the hooves with feet would make them hotter.

>>28833 that's a horrifying though
>>28834 Bee, you are my sunshine
